What 1.0 changed for builds
Every skill tree was reset
Loading version 1.0.0.0 with an existing save reset your whole tree and refunded all points (official changelog) — the second forced reset after Update 8 rebuilt the tree. Free re-spend, but you had to re-plan; our respec guide covers the manual Flame Altar reset too (1 Rune per spent point).
Daggers moved to the assassin cluster
The dagger skills officially left the warrior area for the ranger area's assassin cluster, and the new Venomous Blades → Venom Mastery poison line made dagger builds complete. That's why our Poison Dagger Assassin build lives under ranger now.
New skill nodes everywhere
17 brand-new nodes on the 1.0 tree: the wand attacks (Wand Evasion, Aerial Wand, heavy attack), Advanced Necromancy and Totem Mastery for mages, Martyr and Heavy Hitter for warriors, Strategic Maneuver, Blast and Cast, and Airborne Architect in the core. Each is marked + on the planner and itemized on the change list.
Eternal spells and arrows
Every spell now has an eternal version — no more charge-count anxiety — upgradeable like weapons via the class crafting survivors. This quietly buffed every mage build's late game and the healer's eternal healing spells.
The armor rework
Sets were reorganized into craftable combat sets per tier plus loot-chest sets (Marksman drops in Revelwood, Sharpshooter in Nomad Highlands, per the changelog). Build pages list what to wear per tier.
Gem and perk rebalance
Gem of Toxic Reaction was massively buffed (poison builds welcome), while Gem of Obsession and Gem of Battle Mania had stats lowered; the Reaping weapon perk was greatly buffed for melee stamina. Check live numbers before committing sockets.
Necromancy got guardrails
1.0 added active skeleton summons and new Necromancy gem tiers — but also a spawn limit on Lesser Necromancy companions, out-of-combat health decay, and a global cap on player-spawned creatures. Summoner is strong, not unbounded.
Node-by-node, every new and moved skill is on the 1.0 change list with before/after values.

Plan your own 1.0 build
Start from the class area you're committing to — each page opens the planner focused on that area with its key nodes and leveling route:
- Ranger skill tree — bows, daggers, the assassin cluster and the new poison line
- Mage skill tree — elements, necromancy, healing and the new wand attacks
- Warrior skill tree — two-handed damage, parry toolkit, the tank cluster
- Core skill tree — Double Jump, survivability and the free ✦ Sparks every build starts from
Wrong picks cost Runes in game (see the respec guide) — they cost nothing in the planner.
FAQ
What is the best build in Enshrouded 1.0?
For damage-per-effort, the S-tier picks are Crit Bow Ranger (ranged crit pipeline with self-sustain), Fire Battlemage (the Chain Hit → Mass Destruction area combo) and Two-Handed Barbarian (simple, brutal, levels from level 1). All three have full point-by-point allocations linked to the planner on our tier list.
Did 1.0 break old builds?
No — it reset them. The changelog confirms every tree was reset on first load with all points refunded, so every pre-1.0 build needed re-buying, and dagger builds had to re-route to the assassin cluster. The underlying damage pipelines (bow crit, fire crit, two-handed melee) are all intact on the 1.0 tree.
How many skill points does a 1.0 build get?
212 at the level cap: 98 from leveling (2 per level) plus 114 from exploration — Shroud Roots and Elixir Wells. Buying literally every node costs 675, so even endgame builds are choices; every build page lists its exact point total.
What should a beginner play in 1.0?
Two-Handed Barbarian is the classic first character — cheap damage nodes, works from level 1, forgiving in melee. Bow ranger is the safe ranged pick. Both are rated Easy difficulty on the tier list.
